Wolves On The Tweet

‘Please no’, ‘Bad move’, ‘Awful’ – Some fans react as Wolves are linked with 26 y/o

Wolverhampton Wanderers have been linked with a move for Loris Karius as replacement for John Ruddy, but supporters don’t want to see him at Molineux and made their feelings clear on social media.

Karius is available after cutting his loan short at Besiktas due to a dispute over unpaid wages, but he doesn’t have a future at Liverpool either as Jurgen Klopp axed him in 2018.

Besiktas are considering a move for Ruddy to replace the 26-year-old, but Wolves fans don’t want to make that trade this summer.

Which club did Wolves sign Raul Jimenez from?

Karius has made 49 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool since joining from 1. FSV Mainz 05 in 2016. He’s spent the last two seasons on loan at Besiktas, making 67 appearances. The German goalkeeper was guilty of making costly errors in the Premier League, so it’s no surprise supporters aren’t keen on signing him.

Ruddy has been a good servant for Wolves and is a fantastic backup to Rui Patricio, but his future at Molineux is uncertain as his contract is up in the coming months. The 33-year-old may want first-team football next season, so he could consider a move away from the Midlands.

Reports suggest Wolves will have to beat West Ham, Sporting and Anderlecht to Karius’ signature, but he wouldn’t be a popular signing if brought in.

Why everyone hating on this move are you guys for real? Loris wasn’t Liverpool no1 keeper for no reason before he made costly mistakes, not only that Loris has been better overall than Rui this season. Only problem is if the deal goes through, will Nuno put him the starting team? Look at cutrone, was never given the chance to prove himself. Loris could go the same way or could become another brilliant deal by wolves. Loris has premier league experience, is determined to prove he can become a great goalkeeper again. To get Loris on a loan with option to buy is a good deal especially when Nuno knows how to transform players. If the deal happens, lets wait and see before getting a head ourselves.
