John Ruddy is out of contract at Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer and hasn’t been offered an extension, so Nuno Espirito Santo may need to locate a replacement in the transfer market.

Vital Wolves have suggested Joe Hart as a potential option, as the 33-year-old’s contract at Burnley is up in the coming months. He’s spent the season on the periphery under Sean Dyche and is likely to be released.

Despite boasting 340 Premier League appearances and 75 caps for England while winning two Premier League titles, two EFL Cups and one FA Cup, however, supporters from We are Wolves are against the idea of signing Hart.

They believe his form has spiralled in recent years, so he wouldn’t provide value for money.

Allan Yates: “I hope Wolves don’t touch him. I’d rather keep Ruddy.”

Karl Brown: “Keep Ruddy. He’s head and shoulders above Hart.”

Chris Hall: “Not great value.”

Ian Davies: “No..!!.”

Mick Beardsmore: “Good god no.”

Mark Richards: “No way.”

Simon Betteridge: “Let’s not thanks.”

Paul Woz: “No way…..”

Hart spent 12 years at Manchester City, joining the Sky Blues from Shrewsbury Town in 2006 and leaving for Burnley in 2018. The 33-year-old made a total of 348 appearances for City and kept 137 clean sheets, but he fell out of favour in his last two years at the Etihad after his form dipped.

Hart was loaned out to Torino (August 31, 2016 – June 30, 2017) and West Ham (July 18, 20117 – May 31, 2018) before signing for Burnley, so is he at Wolves’ level?
