Raul Jimenez admitted in an interview with ESPN Deportes that he would consider leaving Wolverhampton Wanderers if Real Madrid or Barcelona came calling, and some supporters say they would wish him well. Others would be upset to see the 28-year-old leave but wouldn’t begrudge him a dream move.
Jimenez said: “If you tell me that tomorrow an offer from Real Madrid or Barcelona comes, it is obvious that you do not let such an opportunity go. Leaving the doors open for anything is the most important thing. I do not close any doors, I am open to whatever comes but it does not stop me sleeping.”
That’s the same for any player in world football, if they come calling they are gone

I’d actually be happy for the guy if he got a move to Barca or Real Madrid. Thank him, and begrudgingly wish him well. Anyone else would be a hard pill to swallow though.

Whatever of our players leave we’re gonna get a very good amount of money and wish them all the best aslong as we keep hold of Nuno main aim for me theirs no1 better to lead our club

I’ve mentioned this before, but even Liverpool couldn’t hold on to everyone en route to the top. Suarez, Sterling, Countinho….. some players will leave if the truly massive teams come in. I doubt they will, tbh, and he’d be throwing away a guaranteed start probs, so… chill.

Joe if any offer from those two comes on wolves would be fools to let it go. You have to bank £100m deals. Look at Liverpool. You back your scouting team that found Jim in the first place and you thank him for his awesome tenure.

I mean Barca and Real are kind of like the pinnacle of success for footballers in the Spanish speaking world and with so much media attention it’s inevitable he will be asked that question by reporters. But would anyone in their right mind say “no not interested”?

If he’s going to get a bigger move, it’s got to be soon, given his age. I wouldn’t want to sell him to another English club. Keep the asking price high Jeff!

If Barca or Real come knocking of course you are going to be interested. If Raul was to leave for either of them I’d wish him well. If he left for spurs or Man Utd I’d be very disappointed in him

The Mexican international joined Wolves on loan from Benfica in 2018 and went on to make 44 appearances in all competitions, scoring 17 goals and making eight assists. He turned his move permanent and contributed 32 goals/assists in 44 games before the season was postponed due to the Covid-10 pandemic.
Jimenez’s form at Molineux has led to a number of clubs showing interest in his signature, but Wolves have made it clear that he won’t be sold this summer. They want to push for a top-four finish next season and would struggle to replace the 28-year-old if he was offloaded.
Fans will be sad to lose the prolific centre-forward, but he’s scored more Premier League goals than Richarlison, Marcus Rashford, Heung-min Son, Anthony Martial, Roberto Firmino, Alexander Lacazette and Gabriel Jesus since 2018/19, so it’s not surprising that other sides are starting to take notice.
Well if he wants to go let him I say, 29 yrs old get what you can for him and bring another player in who wants to play for the club.
Always said if a player wants to move on get what you can for the player, and get another player who wants to play for our club.
