Pedro Neto gave a surprising interview for O Jogo, where he revealed he could leave Wolverhampton Wanderers for “top clubs” in the future. The 20-year-old said he wants to be in a side that wins titles and competes in the Champions League, so his future at Molineux is now being called into question by supporters.
Neto is quoted as saying: “I’m in a big club that already offers me a lot. I want to continue here, but I intend to take the leap. I want to reach top clubs to win titles or compete in the Champions League. There is nothing better than competing in the Champions League, the Europa League, the Euros or a World Cup. I want to try everything.” The reaction from fans was as expected.

Neto only joined Wolves last summer from Lazio, so it won’t go down well that he’s already considering his options. The 20-year-old has impressed in his debut season at Molineux with 35 appearances already under his belt. He’s scored four goals and made four assists.
As per Transfermarkt, Neto featured in every Europa League game from November onwards and played in all but three Premier League games from December onwards. He started every EFL Cup and FA Cup outing for Wolves too.
Fans wouldn’t blame the Portuguese U21 international for having his head turned if a big European club made an offer, but they don’t like to see somebody offering their services elsewhere.
Raul Jimenez recently committed his future to Wolves amid rumoured interest from Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United, so maybe they were hoping Neto would do the same.
