Lazio have been linked with a move for Leander Dendoncker and may now have to pay up to €40m (£34.8m) to procure his signature.
The 25-year-old has been an important player for Wolverhampton Wanderers, operating in a variety of roles when called upon by Nuno Espirito Santo, but supporters are happy to sell Dendoncker for the right price.
The Belgian international joined Wolves on loan in 2018 and impressed enough to turn the move permanent in 2019. He’s gone on to make 72 appearances in all competitions, scoring six goals, and has been a regular in both defence and midfield.
Dendoncker made 46 appearances across the board before the season was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, so Wolves are unlikely to sell such an important player. Fans are saying otherwise, however.

Tempting offer but not for me. Gets criticised too much. Very useful player for us, and £34m in today’s market for a CM can be hit and miss. But then you could say it’s more than what we paid for Neves and Moutinho so who knows 😂

take that money and run. still dont know what his actual position is, poor in cm, not great at cb

Solid player but £40 million is very good business. We could get some other players for that

Yep! Love Dendoncker! Fits this team perfectly. Great work ethic. Criminally underrated. Versatile but £40m would be good business.

Wolves paid only £12.15m for the 25-year-old last summer, so his sale would bring in considerable profit. The Midlands outfit have been linked with a host of midfielders this summer (John McGinn, Morgan Sanson, Franck Kessie) too, so it may not be too farfetched for the Belgian to be sold.
Fans appreciate Dendoncker’s contribution over the last two years, but they don’t believe a bid of €40m should be turned down. It remains to be seen if Nuno agrees.
Euro not sterling bit of a difference to some of these idjits.Thirty odd million for a versatile international would be cheap so keep him.He can be part of the team with ease and i think we would take a time to find another player who can adapt to the roles Nuno asks Dedoncker to carry out.
