Plenty of Wolves fans have been reacting to a compilation video of Conor Coady’s best passes from the weekend’s match against Tottenham.

Within the video, you can see the central defender picking passes as if he’s Tom Brady, firing off plenty of diagonal balls directly to the wingers.

It’s without a doubt that his passing range is integral to the team’s style of play. In fact, out of the whole division, there is no outfield player who averages more long balls than the Wolves skipper, averaging 6.9 long balls per game in the league.

On the whole, the midfielder averages 46.9 passes, meaning that one in every seven or so passes is a longball.

Impressively, he still has a passing percentage rate of 84.7, proving the incredible range of passing that the 26-year-old has. Only Joao Moutinho has a better rate, with 85.1 per cent.

The Wolves Twitter account posted the video, to which many fans responded sharing their appreciation for the player. A few even mentioned a certain Gareth Southgate, who is still yet to hand the Liverpudlian his first ever England cap.

Here are some of the replies below…

There’s no doubt that Coady has been a huge figure in the sharp uprise of the club. So far this season, he has not missed a minute in the league, and his leadership has played a big part in the club pushing for European football.

You can argue that such a vital player and captain for a club who are sixth in the league and in the final 16 of the Europa League deserves an opportunity for his country. However, with him never being apart of the England set up and with the Euros so quickly approaching, it is hard to see him being picked all of a sudden as part of a two-man centre back pairing.

Southgate is a mediocre manager with very little understanding of the modern game. Hes a throw back to the appalling style of football some English clubs played in the late 90’s. Diabolical football
