Which club did Wolves sign Raul Jimenez from?

Wolves have Conor Coady, Willy Boly, Max Kilman, Ryan Bennett, Romain Saiss, Dion Sanderson and Leander Dendoncker to pick from at centre-back, but Kilman isn’t a regular, Bennett could be sold this summer and Sanderson may be loaned out again.

Saiss and Dendoncker are natural midfielders too, so the Midlands outfit want a tried and tested defender who can make an instant impact next season. Wolves have been linked with LOSC Lille’s Gabriel Magalhaes, Galatasaray’s Christian Luyindama and Manchester City’s Tosin Adarabioyo, but it remains to be seen who they’ll bring in.

Ba joined Olympiacos from GFC Ajaccio in January 2019 and was loaned back to his former club for the remainder of the season. He’s gone on to make 18 appearances in all competitions for Olympiacos and is now a regular under Pedro Martins.

Ba made just one Super League appearance up until December but featured in 13 of the 14 league outings that followed before the campaign was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Sport Witness say Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid have also been showing an interest in the 24-year-old, but it remains to be seen where he’ll end up.
