The 22-year-old has struggled for playing time at Manchester City, making only eight appearances in all competitions since 2016, and will be out of contract in 2021.

With Nicolas Otamendi, John Stones, Eric Garcia and Aymeric Laporte ahead of Adarabioyo in the pecking order at City, the defender may have to leave for more playing time.

Should Wolverhampton Wanderers sign Tosin Adarabioyo?

No

After spending last season on loan at West Bromwich Albion, he’s spent this campaign at Blackburn Rovers, making 28 appearances across the board and gaining valuable experience alongside Darragh Lenihan.

It remains to be seen if he’s impressed enough to get Wolves’ attention, but he won’t come cheap. Adarabioyo has a £20m asking price which fans don’t believe is value for money.

The former England U19 international has racked up 2336 minutes of Championship football, completing 80.6% of his 1337 passes, winning 88 aerial duels (71%), blocking 26 shots/passes/crosses, making 124 clearances, giving away only eight fouls and averaging a tackle (20) or interception (43) every 37 minutes.

Ryan Bennett could be returning to Wolves as his loan spell at Leicester City has fallen apart, so it remains to be seen if they’ll pay £20m for Adarabioyo.
