28 y/o has poor ‘dedication in training’, is a ‘spoiled child’ – Wolves ‘discarded’ signing forward

According to Las2 Orillas, Wolverhampton Wanderers have ‘discarded’ the notion of signing James Rodriguez this summer. The 28-year-old is described by Las2 Orillas as having poor ‘dedication in training’ while being a ‘spoiled child’ who needs love from a manager.

Jorge Mendes was trying to negotiate James’ asking price down, but it appears Wolves have turned their attentions elsewhere. Everton will now be free to sign the Real Madrid forward if they lodge an acceptable bid in the coming weeks and months.

Which club did Wolves sign Raul Jimenez from?

Wolves have an enviable attack – Diego Jota, Pedro Netos, Daniel Podence, Adama Traore, Raul Jimenez – but Nuno Espirito Santo wants a playmaker who can operate between the lines. The Midlands outfit were linked with Thomas Lemar and Dani Olmo among others.

Las2 Orillas don’t believe they stood a chance of signing James due to Carlo Ancelotti being at Everton. The 28-year-old’s lack of football at Real and spiralling relationship with Zinedine Zidane has led to him wanting to play under a manager with whom he has a good relationship.

James made 51 appearances under Ancelotti and had a hand in 37 goals – two more than he’s amassed under Zinedine Zidane despite making 16 more appearances. He won’t come cheap for Everton with a €30m asking price and €6.5m-a-year wages, but it’s no longer Wolves’ problem.
