Wolves On The Tweet

“Inexcusable”, “Shocking behaviour” – A lot of Wolves fans criticise midfielder’s conduct

Morgan Gibbs-White could be in hot water with the hierarchy at Wolverhampton Wanderers after breaking lockdown rules. Footage was posted on Snapchat of the 20-year-old attending a party in London and Wolves have said they will deal with the situation internally.

With Gibbs-White posting on Instagram back in March that it’s vital people stay at home to help the NHS, supporters from Talking Wolves aren’t happy with his latest conduct. The England U21 international is coming off the back of a disappointing season too, so this incident was the last thing he needed to do.

Which club did Wolves sign Raul Jimenez from?

Gibbs-White rose through the youth ranks to the Wolves first-team in 2018 and has gone on to make 67 appearances in all competitions, scoring once and making one assist.

The 20-year-old’s reputation has taken a battering this season after falling down the pecking order – Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho, Romain Saiss, Leander Dendoncker have been preferred in midfield.

He’s made 14 appearances across the board, amassing 712 minutes of football, and featured only three times in 2020. Gibbs-White ended the season in the U23s, so he was already low down in Nuno’s estimates before this incident.

Will the 20-year-old’s lockdown breach affect his future next season?
