Benny Ashley-Seal joined Accrington Stanley on loan at the end of January and had to wait nearly two weeks to make his debut. The 21-year-old missed Stanley’s 2-1 win over AFC Wimbledon (February 1) but started in Tuesday’s 2-0 win over Shrewsbury Town (February 11).

Ashley-Seal played for 65 minutes, picking up valuable experience and match fitness, and was hailed by supporters after the game.

Stanley next face Lincoln City on Saturday, but it remains to be seen whether the Wolverhampton Wanderers loanee will keep his place. He was replaced by Offrande Zanzala against Shrewsbury and will have Dion Charles and Colby Bishop for competition in attack.
John Coleman’s side sit 16th in League One with 36 points from 30 games, having won their last two outings. Only six clubs have scored more goals than Stanley (41) this season, so Ashley-Seal has joined a side that create a lot of opportunities for the attackers.
The 21-year-old scored 20 goals in 37 games for Wolves u23s so he should be a good fit at the Crown Ground.
