Many Wolves fans have called for Diogo Jota to be the future manager after discovering that he’s been getting his practice in during the quarantine.
With footballers not allowed to be on the training ground at the moment, plenty have had a lot of times on their hands – and that includes the Portuguese 23-year-old.
In a recent interview with Portuguese outlet Record (via Sport Witness), the forward was asked whether or not his move to the Championship was motivated by his love for the game Football Manager.
In his response, the player revealed what his current save was at the moment, saying that he has taken Telford United from the National League North to the Premier League by the time 2029 has come around.
He said: “By chance, right now I’m training Telford in Football Manager, which is a team here in the area… and I’ve made it to the Premier League. But to tell you the truth, I’m in 2029.”
Unsurprisingly, Wolves fans loved to hear about the player’s achievement within the game (@TimSpiers), prompting plenty of supporters to suggest that he should become a Wolves manager one day.
One fan even suggested that if Nuno was ever tempted away, then he should be the man to follow him, while another said he could be a player-manager.
Here are some of the responses below…
Beats Villa in Fifa and takes Telford to the PL. Is there a football game that @DiogoJota18 isn’t good at?

While many will be encouraged to see his love for the game, they will be happy with him continuing to churn out performances for Wolves.
This season he has scored 15 goals and assisted six in 37 games, so fans may welcome 10 more seasons like that before he takes the hot seat.
