We’re two thirds through the transfer window now, and still no first-team additions for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.
The latest rumour, however, seems to be one which has fans licking their lips.
Spain international Dani Olmo, who took a slightly peculiar route to being a top-level footballer by leaving Barcelona’s infamous La Masia for Dinamo Zagreb, is allegedly wanted by the club, and there are claims of a bid being made.
Wolves fan account @TalkingWolves tweeted about the rumour, stating that an offer worth €25m has been submitted to Zagreb, with the account referencing the source of Sportske Novosti.
Would you like to see Dani Olmo signed?
Yes please, he looks some talent
No thanks, spend the money elsewhere
The report states that the club are now the highest bidders, with Milan and RB Leipzig allegedly having bids of €20m and €16m turned down.
After tweeting about the story, plenty of fans got in touch weighing in with their opinions on the 21-year-old – and it seems they are very much excited by the attacking midfielder.
Some referenced how much of an exciting prospect he is, with one calling him a ‘baller’, while others were afraid to get carried away by the rumours.
Here are some of the replies below…

The scenes if we pull this off. The formation tweak and playing with a proper number 10 why not try. Could be a game changer. He’s unreal!!!

Unfortunately for those excited by this rumour, the claims of a bid seem to have been quashed by respected reporter Tim Spiers.
The Athletic reporter was asked by a fan whether there was any truth to the story, he replied stating that no bid had yet been made.
Whether or not that means there is no interest whatsoever is a different story. Time will tell, but the amount that is left to improve the squad for a big second half of the season is running out.
