Wolverhampton Wanderers star Raul Jimenez has been on Mexican international duty this summer with them competing out in the Gold Cup and on Monday, he was named the Player of the Tournament in recognition of his performances.
The 28-year-old has had a stellar first campaign at the Molineux as we finished in seventh place in the Premier League, with him contributing 13 goals and seven assists in his top flight appearances and he’s capped that off with five goals in six games as he helped them to lift the trophy as they won out over the United States in the final of the competition.
It didn’t take the Wolves social media team long to let everyone know of his achievements.

Given how fans have taken Jimenez to their hearts, the reaction was entirely as you’d expect and now fans want him to get a good break under his belt so he’s ready and raring to come back for the coming 2019/20 campaign.
@T_Deeney just another day in the life of a "loser"

Even in none season I have to pinch myself that we have 5 international's who have won trophies gold medals and a player of one of the tournament's. Yes to an additional player here and there but what a squad Wolves have. Lets show patience and faith in the recruitment process.????
