According to L’Equipe, Wolverhampton Wanderers ‘want to recruit’ Axel Disasi and have made a bid of £15m. With Kortney Hause, Ethan Ebanks-Landell, Sylvain Deslandes leaving last summer, Ryan Bennett expected to be sold and Roderick Miranda being surplus to requirements, Wolves are on the hunt for another centre-back.

The Midlands outfit have been linked with Kristoffer Ajer, Gabriel Magalhaes, Christian Luyindama, Ousseynou Ba, Tosin Adarabioyo, Ruben Dias, Diego Llorente, Nicolas N’Koulou, Robin Koch, but Disasi may be atop of their wishlist.

Which club did Wolves sign Raul Jimenez from?

The 22-year-old joined Stade de Reims from Paris FC in 2016 and has gone on to make 52 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals. He’s been a regular under David Guion this season, playing in 32 games across the board which has attracted Wolves’ attention.

As per WhoScored, Disasi has made 27 Ligue 1 appearances, amassed 2430 minutes of playing time, created five chances, completed 84.6% of his 1492 passes, made 4/8 successful dribbles, had 15 shots, blocked 30 crosses/passes/shots, made 96 clearances, won 37 free-kicks and averaged a tackle (32) or interception (26) every 42 minutes.

Disasi has blocked more shots (24) than Willy Boly (9) and completed more passes (84.6% of 55.3 passes-per-game) than Ruben Neves (80% of 52.9 passes-per-game), so he could be a good fit at Wolves. Time will tell if the Old Gold are successful.
