Nuno Espirito Santo has some difficult decisions to make on the future of his Wolves midfield.

Joao Moutinho, Ruben Neves, Romain Saiss and Leander Dendoncker have been regulars in the engine room, but Enzo Loiocide, Morgan Gibbs-White and Bruno Jordao will also want first-team opportunities.

There isn’t room to accompany all three players in midfield, however, so what should Nuno do?

Which club did Wolves sign Raul Jimenez from?

Loiocide joined Wolves on loan from FCO Dijon in January and has been developing in the U23s.

He made his debut in the reserves’ Premier League Cup draw with Birmingham and has featured in their 2-1 defeat to Liverpool, Premier League Cup draw with Leeds United, Premier League Cup defeat to Derby County and 3-2 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

His move should be made permanent this summer, but he’s unlikely to be promoted to the first-team next season, despite having made Ligue 1 appearances for his former club.

Loiocide has only made a handful of appearances for Wolves U23s, so he needs another year to develop before he’ll be in a place to upset the applecart.

Gibbs-White has struggled for appearances this season due to a back injury and stiff competition for places, forcing him to turn out for the U23s when fit.

The 20-year-old only made four Premier League appearances and often struggled to impress, so it’s hard to see him dethroning Moutinho, Neves, Saiss and Dendoncker next season.

Some fans have suggested he should be loaned out to get regular football, but it remains to be seen what Wolves end up doing.

Jordao has also struggled for appearances due to injury woes, but he’s the most likely to get first-team football next season.

The 21-year-old has only made three appearances since joining Wolves from Lazio last summer, having spent the majority of the campaign on the treatment table.

With a full pre-season under his belt, Jordao should have a better chance of getting first-team football under Nuno.
