With Wolverhampton Wanderers having a very good 2018/19 return to the Premier League, with an FA Cup run to boot, once the March international break kicked in the news cycles were always going to be dominated by transfer speculation, so some of the recent stories shouldn’t have come as a surprise to fans.
In amongst rehashes of Wolves looking to sign Raul Jimenez over the summer, Nuno to Chelsea, Mourinho to the Molineux nonsense, a claim from the Express did catch my attention.
They claimed in an ‘exclusive’ that Tottenham Hotspur were keeping tabs on Diogo Jota ahead of a possible raid at the end of the season, stating that he’s been identified as someone who can take the pressure off England striker Harry Kane.
Now, the 22-year-old Portuguese lad is back to his best after he took some time to adjust to the top flight, but he’s flying now with seven goals in his last 14 games and he rightly taking the plaudits for that form.
It’s inevitable really that his form will see him become the subject of media invention and as you’d expect, there’s nothing of substance in their report, and looking around the interweb, I’m not the only one to completely dismiss the suggestions as they stand.
Well they can FRO!!!

They couldn't afford Greasy Jack's hair products last summer. Do they mean BCFC's fake Jota?

Why would he go to spurs and leave to sit on the bench. Our Portuguese based team is a dream for jota/neves ect, they won’t leave. Plus spurs wouldn’t pay our asking price
