Many Wolves fans have reacted on Twitter after a video was released from the weekend of Matt Doherty throwing himself in front of a shot.

After Wolves had already come from behind twice, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side were heading towards three points, but in the final minute one last half-chance arose for Spurs, but Doherty threw himself in front of it.

In the moments that followed, you could see Doherty jump up and punch the air after helping his team leapfrog the Champions League finalists from last season.

The Wolves Twitter account posted a video of the block, alongside a quote from the player discussing the incident.

He said: “It was the last minute and it was last-ditch, I don’t know why I celebrated, my body took over.”

With that win, Wolves might now seriously be believing that they have a great opportunity of qualifying for the Champions League.

They are currently on 42 points after 28 games – level with Manchester United in fifth – and are just three points behind Chelsea.
