Highly rated Wolverhampton Wanderers youngster Kortney Hause made the switch yesterday to near neighbours Aston Villa on a loan spell for the remainder of the 2018/19 campaign and the deal does include a buy clause that comes into play next summer.

The popular former England Under 21 international came into the Molineux from Wycombe Wanderers back in the summer of 2014, and he departs with 74 starting appearances to his name, with a further six showings from the substitutes bench. He contributed two goals in that time but was a noticeable casualty of our Fosun revolution when head coach Nuno Espirito Santo arrived and we went Portuguese.

He did make two appearances this season in our EFL Cup campaign but with him down the pecking order, it does make sense to get him out for games so he can continue his own career.

He departs the club with the good wishes of everyone for the future but some couldn’t resist the opportunity for a bit of banter.

  • Thanks for ‘agent’ Hause guys, maybe he just knows regardless of present day who the bigger club is………just like Tammy!! Okay, dig out of the way, lol, I watched the Wolves cup match last night, they are impressive I have to be honest, but I do think Tammy’s decision to stay is the right one, I don’t think he is fully ready for Prem yet and he’s already proven in Championship so why disrupt his own confidence boosting season for a ‘what if’ remainder, could be another stint like Swansea setting him back, or it could have been great and he may have banged them in, but in his shoes ‘guaranteed 1st team and goals at Villa’ or ‘squad player who may or may not play for Wolves’ I think he’s made a sensible choice
