With Wolverhampton Wanderers putting recent disappointments behind them as we took a fantastic and hugely deserved victory over Arsenal on Wednesday night, fans were left raving about the performance of one man in particular.
Welcoming Unai Emery’s side to the Molineux for our latest Premier League action, it was a first half masterclass from the side as we saw goals from Ruben Neves, Matt Doherty and Diogo Jota, although Arsenal did pull a goal back late on when they finally got a shot on target.
There was plenty to celebrate from the performance though, and Jota’s continued improvement in the 2018/19 campaign saw him single out for particular praise from the fans as they reacted to the 3-1 win at the fulltime whistle on social media.
The only downside to this is that it will no doubt respark the rumours linking him with those sides above us in the top flight table and the more major players in the European game.
Then we have Jota, our very own Batfink…his arms are like a shield of steel. What a performance of pure devilment and class #wwfc

Diogo Jota absolutely unreal. What a player. To think he went 13 without scoring and now he’s been class second half of the season. I hope he never leaves

Last night that first half best half of season Terrorised Arsenal but we need to learn to dismantle the Lowe teams with 11 men behind the ball.
Lover neves getting his goal , Jota absolutely immense and one of top 5 in premier league for me . #WWFC— Chris Williams (@chriswill85) April 25, 2019
DIOGO JOTA. Best player I’ve ever seen in a Wolves shirt. #wwfc ???? https://t.co/yRtDpzwYbM

Jota quite simply our MOTM. Scared the living daylights out of the Arsenal defence. Always dropping deep, wanting the ball and driving into the box. Deserved that bit of luck from Leno's mistake, after getting the wrong side of Mikhitaryan. #wwfc

Jota’s performance up there with the Moutinho level of performance V West Ham at home. Absolutely immense.
Don’t underestimate his working back in the RWB position when putting Maitland-Niles on his arse whilst we were under pressure at 0-0. Got us going from that moment #wwfc

Surely we’re going to have some huge bids to turn down for Jota in the summer #wwfc
