Wolverhampton Wanderers are progressing at just the right time according to striker Benik Afobe.

Benik Afobe scored twice whilst Nouha Dicko, Dave Edwards and Bakary Sako all got on the scoresheet in a comprehensive 5-0 victory over Rotherham United over the weekend.

Wolves may remain five points off the play-off places, but are now only nine points adrift of automatic promotion as the top of the Championship tightens up as the leaders slip.

Wolves are at home to Fulham this evening and the former Arsenal striker wants Wolves to maintain some consistency during the end of season run in.

‘I think it`s the first time we`ve scored five goals this season and Huddersfield was the first time we`d scored four this season,’ Afobe told Cannock Mercury.

He continued: ‘It shows that we`re progressing and I think now, in the second half of the season, it`s the teams that find consistency with goals and wins that do well.

‘If we can do that over the next 14 games then I don`t see why we shouldn`t be up there by the last game of the season.’
