Wolves Targeting Leeds Hotshot For January Business

With Wolverhampton Wanderers having known goalscoring issues this year owing to the fact we’ve only found the back of the net eleven times in eleven Premier League games so far, it’s not a surprise to see loose media speculation now linking us with strikers as the January transfer window nears.

Raul Jimenez is doing a good job up top and his lack of a clinical edge is more than made up by the hard work he puts in doing the target man job for us, but Leo Bonatini in particular just hasn’t adjusted or re-discovered his original club form as many had hoped. Helder Costa has also struggled having only two goals to his name.

Leeds Live were one of a few to report this week that Wolves were now apparently looking at Leeds United attacker Kemar Roofe.

The former West Bromwich Albion 25-year-old is a steady pick for the rumour mill as he’s scored in each of his last three games for the Elland Road outfit, and has a goal return of seven in eleven matches so far – he’s also spent over a month out with injury or his return would arguably been better.

Wolves are linked alongside Crystal Palace and Southampton with having an interest but at this stage, I think it’s the media stretching to create links but I’d be surprised if he wasn’t at least on our radar.
