Wolverhampton Wanderers’ defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday evening did give fans plenty of positives.
The negative was conceding three goals in the manner that we did, but the fightback and with the disallowed goal we could’ve arguably taken a point from the match – but the stand out was 18-year-old youngster Morgan Gibbs-White.
Coming on for Joao Moutinho just after the hour mark in the game for his seventh appearance of 2018/19, the highly rated Academy graduate more than took his opportunity to shine and impress fans with his performance.
His efforts arguably proved to be a real turning point for us as we were still trailing by three at the time of his introduction but his youthful endeavour and confidence definitely helped to get us ticking over once again.
The kid is going to be a superstar. If he can find his best position.

Morgan Gibbs White looks like he grew there. We are learning good and fast. I am so proud of my team, even when we lose we win.

MGW was majestic.

Not a criticism of Moutinho who is a fabulous player but would like to see MGW and Neves get a run do we need two sitters every week?? Gibbs-White changed the game. Plus we can bring Moutinho on to help see games out #wwfc

Morgan Gibbs White needs to be starting games. Nothing against Moutinho but him and Neves are so similar. What a performance from the boy!

I think the comments above from fans on social media following the fulltime whistle tell their own story really.
If he wasn’t in head coach Nuno Espirito Santo’s plans before, he certainly should be now but we’ll have to be patient as he continues to learn his trade and forgiving when he doesn’t impress and makes errors – all youngsters do.
