Plenty of Wolverhampton Wanderers supporters were left drooling following their 1-0 victory on Saturday afternoon and the performance of one player, in particular, stood out.

The west Midlanders boosted their top-four hopes by clinching all three points against local rivals Aston Villa at Villa Park despite only having two attempts at goal all game.

Belgian midfielder Leander Dendoncker found the net just after the hour mark, slotting home with precision past Orjan Nyland after a fracas inside the penalty area.

But it was left wing-back Jonny who reaped the rewards from the Molineux faithful, who despite not being in attendance, still managed to watch the game from home.

The Spaniard picked up a 7.1 match rating by SofaScore and also managed one key pass, dribble and tackle as well as providing that crucial assist for Dendoncker’s strike.

It’s led to fans lauding him up as “unbelievable” and “underrated” whilst some tipped him as their ‘Man of the Match’ for the afternoon’s early kickoff.

Here’s how the rest of the fanbase reacted to the £14.4m-rated star’s display…
