On New Year’s Day Wolverhampton Wanderers confirmed that highly rated 18-year-old David Wang had put pen to paper on a long-term deal at the Molineux and he now heads out to Sporting CP on a loan spell for the second half of the campaign to further bolster his experience and aid his development.

The right-footed winger has signed a four and a half year deal with us and comes in from Spanish fourth tier outfit Jumilla B (as fans will know, Wolves have a deal with Jumilla and they have a few of our youngsters out on loan with them for experience as well). He’s made 16 appearances for them so far this year and having featured on the Guardian’s ’60 best youngsters’ list last season, he’s also been named as the best futsal player in his home province for straight seasons back in 2009 through to 2012.

He’s expected to feature for Sporting’s B side as he continues his development but he could well be a name to remember in future years.
