Leander Dendocker was criticised for his performance in Wolverhampton Wanderers’ 1-1 draw with Sheffield United (December 1), but the 24-year-old impressed in Wednesday’s 2-0 win over West Ham United.
Dendoncker delivered a man-of-the-match display at Molineux, being dominant in the air, getting himself on the scoresheet and limiting West Ham to just six shots over the 90 minutes, only three of which hit the target.
Great win tonight and a clean sheet too. Maybe a little under the radar but I thought Dendoncker was superb #WWFC

After one of his worst games in a Wolves shirt on Sunday, Leander Dendoncker was top class tonight.
Patricio, Moutinho and Adama all very impressive too. #wwfc ratings here: https://t.co/FWTSxu1Sou— Alex Dicken (@alexedicken) December 4, 2019
The Belgian international also helped Wolves keep their first clean sheet in the Premier League since their 2-0 win over Manchester City (October 6). Only Liverpool (14), Sheffield United (13) and Leicester City (9) have a better defensive record this season (17).
Against United, Dendoncker played for 90 minutes, made 73 touches, won four aerial duels, completed 80% of his 60 passes, had two shots and one goal, made three tackles, completed one successful dribble, made one interception and made one clearance.
Wednesday’s result sees Wolves return to fifth in the Premier League table with 23 points from 15 games, having extended their unbeaten run to 10 games. The Midlands outfit next face Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday.
