According to Mundo Deportivo (h/t Sport Witness), Wolverhampton Wanderers will ‘also bid for’ Jean-Clair Todibo and may have to compete with AS Roma and Everton to procure his signature.

Nuno Espirito Santo ‘wants’ the 20-year-old ‘on his team’ to accompany Conor Coady, Willy Boly, Max Kilman and Romain Saiss next season.

Which club did Wolves sign Raul Jimenez from?

Kortney Hause, Ethan Ebanks-Landell, Sylvain Deslandes and Jesus Vallejo all left Wolves without being replaced. Roderick Miranda and Ryan Bennett could be sold this summer while Dion Sanderson may be loaned out too, so Wolves are on the hunt for at least one player to offset the loss.

The Black and Gold have been linked with Kristoffer Ajer, Gabriel Magalhaes, Christian Luyindama, Ousseynou Ba, Tosin Adarabioyo, Ruben Dias, Diego Llorente, Nicolas N’Koulou, Robin Koch, but Todibo may be high on their wishlist.

The 20-year-old joined Barcelona from Toulouse in January 2019 and made only five appearances in all competitions before being loaned out to Schalke 04 in January 2020.

He’s made 10 appearances in Germany and had the option to join permanently for €25m this summer before Schalke missed the deadline, so Everton, Roma and Wolves are now trying to capitalise on the situation.

It remains to be seen which side will be successful.
