Wolves are one of several Premier League sides interested in signing Monaco centre back Benoit Badiashile this summer, a report from German outlet Kicker has claimed.

The 19-year-old has already made 47 senior appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 side, and it now seems as though the defender is starting to attract attention from elsewhere.

It has previously been reported by RMC that Newcastle are keen on a move for Badiashile, although the Magpies are apparently not alone in their desire to sign the teenager.

According to the latest update from Kicker, Wolves, Manchester United and Bayer Leverkusen are now all also keen on a move for Badiashile as they all look to strengthen their sides ahead of the new season.

As things stand, there are four years remaining on Badiashile’s contract with Monaco, putting the club in a strong position to negotiate any offers that come in for him, and it is thought that the French club are demanding somewhere in the region of £23million for the sale of the defender.

It has been a slow transfer window for Wolves so far, with the club yet to make a signing, and this would be a welcome addition at Molineux.

Given he is already playing regularly for Monaco, you feel Badiashile would be a reliable option for Nuno’s side straight away should he make the move to the club.

That of course would be very welcome for those associated with Wolves given the lack of numbers in the squad as things stand, and the funds and interested involved in this deal mean that it would be a welcome show of intent from the club if they are able to get a signing such as this over the line.
