Which club did Wolves sign Raul Jimenez from?

The 18-year-old plays for Penarol and broke into their first-team at the age of 17. He’s gone on to make 25 appearances in all competitions, scoring one goal and making three assists.

Pellistri’s contract at the Estadio Campeón del Siglo still has two more years to run, but it’s hard to see him staying at Penarol given how many clubs are keen.

Wolves’ interest in the winger may be surprising given Nuno Espirito Santo already has Adama Traore, Pedro Neto, Daniel Podence and Diogo Jota at his disposal, but the Midlands outfit have been planning for the future.

Wolves have been recently linked with 21-year-old Edon Zhegrova and signed two teenagers in the last transfer window – Enzo Loidice (19), Leonardo Campana (19) – so Wolves are no strangers to stockpiling young talent.

Nuno has given 269 minutes of football to Chem Campbell (17), Terry Tally (18), Taylor Perry (18), Luke Cundle (18), Owen Otasowie (19) this season too, so Pellistri should be confident of achieving his potential if he went to Molineux.

There’s a clear pathway for young players to reach the first-team at Wolves.
