According to Corriere dello Sport via CalcioNews24, Lazio are ‘looking around’ for a new centre-back and Willy Boly ‘may be of interest’ to them. Corriere dello Sport say I Biancocelesti are also keen on Diogo Jota and Jonny Otto, but it remains to be seen if they’ll land any of the players’ signatures this summer.

Which club did Wolves sign Raul Jimenez from?

Boly initially joined Wolverhampton Wanderers from FC Porto in 2017 and turned the move permanent in 2018. He’s gone on to make a total of 102 appearances in all competitions for the Midlands outfit, scoring eight goals and making three assists.

The 29-year-old has made 24 appearances across the board this season and his fine form for Wolves led to interest from Arsenal and Tottenham. Now Lazio have entered the race, however, and they shouldn’t be discounted given their impressive form in 2019/20.

Before the season was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I Biancocelesti were sitting second in Serie A, just one point adrift of leaders Juventus. They also have a working relationship with Jorge Mendes after he brokered deals for Pedro Neto and Bruno Jordao to join Wolves.

Lazio’s success over seven months could lure some players to the Stadio Olimpico, but Boly should be staying put at Molineux. It’s worth noting that his future is somewhat uncertain beyond that, however, as his deal is up in 2021.

Talks over a new deal were opened in October 2019 but halted after he fractured his fibula, so it’s up to Wolves to resume discussions over extending his stay. Boly would improve Lazio’s defence, but he’s far too important to be sold.

Why would any of our players go down a few levels to play for a tin
Ot club in a tin pot league, Lazio might be big in their country but that’s were it ends, put Burton in there and they would be has big.
Has for Boly, Jota and Jonny do they really think we are going to decimate our team for them!
