Many Wolves fans have reacted on Twitter after the UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin issued a warning that the Europa League may not be finished due to coronavirus.
Joe Edwards, a Wolves reporter from the Express and Star, tweeted about the UEFA chief’s words with a link to his story, to which plenty of fans got in response to.
Following a meeting, it was announced that the Europa League and the Champions League are indefinitely postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, with both finals being called off without a new final date.
Despite this, the body still has ambitions to complete the campaign, and they are welcoming the idea of playing behind closed doors if that means that they can get games on, but they did concede that there will be a cut-off date.
How should the season end?
Totally void the entire season
Finish with the current table
Try and complete it in the summer
Obviously, with Wolves having their first European experience since 1980, if the competition cannot be finished it would be absolutely devastating for many supporters.
The Premier League season has similarly been postponed indefinitely, and with the outbreak continuing to cause havoc, it is hard to see football being played again any time within the very near future.
With Wolves fans desperate to finish the Europa League season, many asked why they couldn’t just finish the competition as soon as everything is okay again.
Here are some of the responses below..
Id want uefa to refund the wasted invest i made in supporting my team in the competition then. If not goodbye any future investment

Next season can wait. Teams have worked so hard for years to get to this level. They have to find a way.

Exactly…
Whats the point in abandoning this season in favour of a new season? Let’s finish this one when possible, then see where we are with regards to starting the next..— Carsten Fog Hansen (@cfoghansen) April 5, 2020
Would people be against finishing this season, and doing a half season for the beginning of 2021 to get everything back on track?

Just finish the season when we can, that’s all we’ve got to do 🤷🏻♂️

Exactly, make more sense to finish this one first, when ever it is. Rather than just start a fresh & pretend this one never happened?
