Many Wolves fans have reacted on Twitter after the UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin issued a warning that the Europa League may not be finished due to coronavirus.

Joe Edwards, a Wolves reporter from the Express and Star, tweeted about the UEFA chief’s words with a link to his story, to which plenty of fans got in response to.

Following a meeting, it was announced that the Europa League and the Champions League are indefinitely postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, with both finals being called off without a new final date.

Despite this, the body still has ambitions to complete the campaign, and they are welcoming the idea of playing behind closed doors if that means that they can get games on, but they did concede that there will be a cut-off date.

Obviously, with Wolves having their first European experience since 1980, if the competition cannot be finished it would be absolutely devastating for many supporters.

The Premier League season has similarly been postponed indefinitely, and with the outbreak continuing to cause havoc, it is hard to see football being played again any time within the very near future.

With Wolves fans desperate to finish the Europa League season, many asked why they couldn’t just finish the competition as soon as everything is okay again.
