A former Wolves legend in Matt Murray has revealed that he thinks that Adama Traore will be playing in the Black Country next season.

With Wolves fighting for a place in the Champions League and with many players being desired by bigger clubs, there’s likely to be a lot happening in a very short amount of time at Wolves in the near future.

Right now their front three is of the envy of much of Europe, with Adama Traore, Raul Jimenez and Diogo Jota all been linked to big-money moves to teams in Europe’s premier club competition.

That means that the club could be under added pressure to ensure that they are playing in the Champions League next season, or they could face the risk of losing some of their best players.

Former ‘keeper Murray has opened up on the club potentially losing Traore and their star players, stating that coronavirus could actually play into their hands, as clubs will have less revenue this season due to having to rely mainly on television income while fans cannot go to grounds, as per Birmingham Live.

He went onto say that the club may have to finish in the top four to ensure that the squad sticks together, however.

“I think Nuno only has a year left on his contract,” Murray said to Sky Sports (via Birmingham Live).

“I think if Wolves can get into the Champions League, I would be that much more confident. Especially with (Raul) Jimenez, he is that bit older and everyone wants to play at the highest level.

“Everyone feels at home, the Wolves fans love them but that would be my concern with Nuno.

“If they do get into the Champions League, they should tie Nuno down to a long-term deal.”

The Wolves and Jorge Mendes quiz: Is the Portuguese agent Nuno's representative?

In fact, according to WhoScored’s match scoring algorithm, he has been the second most consistent player all season behind Kevin De Bruyne, averaging a whopping 7.61/10 per game (De Bruyne’s is 7.92).

From 28 Premier League games, he has scored four goals and created seven assists, and perhaps the most frightening statistic of them all is the 5.2 average dribbles per game.

His explosive pace and dribbling ability make him difficult for any opposition to face, so you can see why Klopp might feel like he can turn him into a top player.

On the whole, whether Wolves can keep hold of him this summer could be dependent on Liverpool’s desire to get the player, as if are serious and stump up the cash, it will be very hard to keep hold of him.
