Wolves On The Tweet

“Top talent”, “Disaster” – Plenty of Wolves fans react to bid submitted for £6.48m-rated man

|

Wolves have stepped up their chase for centre back Axel Disasi, with French outlet L’Equipe (via Get French Football News)  reporting that they have made a £13.45m offer for the centre half.

The 22-year-old currently plays for French side Stade de Reims in Ligue 1, where he has had a very impressive season, attracting the interest of some huge clubs including Arsenal.

Nevertheless, L’Equipe say it’s Wolves who have made the first move, and their fans seem to be pretty split over whether he would be a good signing.

Transfermarkt have rated the player’s transfer value at £6.48m, but Wolves might have to pay about three times that to get their man.

Disasi may be a bit of an unknown entity to those this side of the channel, but not only have his 27 league performances for Reims caught the eye of some of Europe’s bigger clubs, they have also helped his team be an outside chance for qualifying for Europe next season.

One fan described him as a “top talent” and went onto praise his ability as a ball-playing defender.

Others were a bit more pessimistic, with one suggested that it could be a disaster.

Here are some of the replies below after @TalkingWolves posted the rumour…

At £13.45m, Get French Football News are saying that Reims are looking to squeeze a bit more money out of any potential buyer.

It’s claimed they want closer to £18m for the defender, including bonuses.

There’s obviously a long way to go for any potential deal here, but fans look to be excited about the potential of this one coming off.
