Fletcher snubs Sunderland

It’s unlikely that Steven Fletcher will stay with Wolves for next season.

After all he was one of only a few players who did manage to impress during last seasons Premier League campaign and there are likely to be half a dozen or so clubs interested in taking him for next season.

One of those clubs was Sunderland, who I personally would have thought would have been quite a good move for him.

They are likely to be one of a few clubs willing to match our evaluation of him and they do tend to splash the cash at this time of the year, but according to the Daily Mail at least, Fletcher has turned down the chance to talk to them.

There isn’t any explanation as to why, it doesn’t even say that the two clubs agreed a fee, which of course is a pretty important part of the process of any transfer, but perhaps he already knows someone else is interested?

But for now at least Fletcher will be staying at Molineux.
