Will Norwich do Wolves a massive favour?

Fingers crossed fellow Wolves fans, Norwich City could be set to do us a massive favour as they have been linked with a move for Roger Johnson.

Its difficult to think of a player who has been less liked at Molineux in recent years, to the extent where he has been described as toxic by the E&S in a recent article.

But while to any outsider looking in that toxic tag might come across as harsh, its a fairly accurate description for his time with Wolves.

He was a liability on the pitch for his 10 month spell with us and was pretty much a disgrace off it.

He had notable bust ups with his team-mates and turned up to training in March still half cut from a night on the booze, then against Wigan he opted to clap the Wigan fans and ignore the Wolves fans when he didn’t come back out at the end of the game to show appreciation to the supporters after a torrid season.

Wolves simply have to get rid of him and Norwich could be a decent suitor. We’re also probably so desperate to get rid, that his transfer fee is likely to be nowhere near the £4.5million we shelled out on him.

But with him on a £40,000-a-week contract, the highest in our history, which also doesn’t get cut following relegation, Morgan and Moxey will be keen to see him off the wage bill.

ClubCall believe Norwich will offer the 29-year-old a way out of Molineux, while a loan move from Sheffield Wednesday has reportedly been rejected.

Fans of those clubs will probably be hoping they don’t land him if they read this article, but for the sake of Wolves lets hope no-one reads this short summary of his time with us!
