Wolverhampton Wanderers go into this Sunday’s final Premier League clash of the 2018/19 campaign against Liverpool at Anfield looking to top what has been a fantastic return to top flight football for the club.

With seventh place secured and a potential European adventure next season for our first season back after storming to the Championship title last year, there have been ups and downs but few can realistically or sensibly be disappointed with the year.

Speaking to Sky Sports as head coach Nuno Espirito Santo met with the media on Friday to preview the game, there’s certainly no chance of the players being on the proverbial beach already as he’s desperate to take all three points and go out on a high.

“The players rise for every game and every training session. This is our idea, our philosophy. Every moment of your life is important, to prepare yourself for the competition. Of course it is a big game and we want to play it.”

Given what we’ve seen from Nuno already, this comes as no surprise at all even if there’s nothing specifically riding on the game for us. We’ll have to be at it though as given their midweek efforts against Barcelona they’ll be on a high, but it could also be the perfect time to face them given their exertions.
