Many Wolves fans have reacted online to the latest rumour linking James Rodriguez to the club.

Spanish outlet El Desmarque are reporting that Wolves are wanting the Real Madrid player, who has seriously fallen out of favour since coming back from Bayern Munich in the summer.

The report claims that the club will use their link with Jorge Mendes to try and strike a deal between the two clubs, with Real Madrid allegedly wanting over £70m for his services.

So far this campaign, the Colombian has been able to rack up just 13 appearances all season, coming on in five of them, scoring once and assisting twice.

In fairness, the former Golden Boot winner in Brazil 2014 has picked up a medial collateral ligament injury, limiting some of his football, but with just a year on his contract after this season, his departure seems pretty likely at the end of the year.

There has been a pretty mixed response to the rumours, with many suggesting it would be a great signing, while others suggest it is bogus.

It’s a good sign of how far Wolves have come that they are being linked to such a player.

He will be 29 at the beginning of next season, meaning there is lots to come from him – it’s just a price tag of £70m which is questionable.
