Plenty of Wolves fans have responded on Twitter to the news that key attacking threat for Espanyol Raul de Tomas has been ruled out of the first-leg.
This is undoubtedly a massive boost for the club, despite the player only joining from Benfica in the January window, for a fee believed to be around £18.45.
Since playing for the Spanish side, he has helped bottom of the league Espanyol find a bit of form, scoring five goals in his opening five matches.
With that kind of form, he must have been a concern for both Nuno Espirito Santo and the club’s defence, but now they do not have to worry about him.
Remarkably, he has played 360 minutes of league football, and he is their top scorer in La Liga.

When the Athletic’s Tim Spiers tweeted about the situation, he was, unsurprisingly, met by a few fans who were just a little bit happy about the situation.
There was still a varied response. One suggested that the team should put the game beyond doubt before the second leg, while another suggested that a 35-year-old replacement will probably play and score a hat-trick.

Wolves will for sure be fancying themselves for this game. They are undoubtedly safe in the Premier League, and their opposition are rooted to the bottom of La Liga.
