Wolves On The Tweet

“As if he’s interested”, “Join the long queue” – Many Wolves fans react to Serie A interest

Plenty of Wolves fans have reacted on Twitter to the rumours that Napoli are interested in signing Diogo Jota.

The Portuguese forward has been linked to the club by TuttoMercatoWeb (via Sport Witness).

Allegedly, the 23-year-old’s impressive performances mean that the player has had a lot of interest from across Europe, including Gennaro Gattuso’s Napoli.

Sport Witness says that while the Italian outlet is discussing Jota, there doesn’t seem to be much more than just a name drop, not even suggesting whether Nuno Espirito Santo’s side or Jota would be interested in a move to Naples.

Given this, at this stage, it seems quite outlandish to assume that this could happen, but time will tell in the coming months as to whether there is any legitimacy to these claims.

Should we sign James Rodriguez?

Many fans responded on Twitter, and they were pretty stern with their hands-off warning, with some fans suggesting that Jota wouldn’t even be interested in a move to the club.

You can certainly see why such a big side would be interested in Diogo Jota given his record.

So far this season, the Portuguese man has scored 15 goals in all competitions from 36 league games, while also assisting six. For a player of just 23-years, that’s not a bad record whatsoever.

Despite his young age, he has already racked up 119 games for Wolves and 43 goals – and fans will be hoping there is more of that to come.
