Following our FA Cup disappointment against Watford in the last game, Wolverhampton Wanderers would’ve wanted to get back to winning ways in Saturday’s Premier League clash with Southampton.

Making the trip down to St Mary’s Stadium for the tie, sadly it wasn’t to be our day as the hosts took the lead two minutes into the game, and although Willy Boly found the back of the net to level the scores up, they reestablished their lead and with under 20 minutes remaining tied the points up with a 3-1 victory.

Statistics website Whoscored weren’t that positive in their player ratings as you’d expect, but our goalcorer on the day took Man of the Match with a rating of 8.70.

Leander Dendoncker was the only player to score seven-plus with 7.22 and the top five were completed by Jonny (6.87), Joao Moutinho (6.83) and Romain Saiss (6.77).

Dust ourselves down and go again, a small wobble but it still doesn’t undo a good season.
