Wolves were unfortunate

Danny Batth believes Wolverhampton Wanderers were just unfortunate to come away from Rotherham with nothing to show for our performance.

The battle of two of the newly promoted sides ended with victory for the Play-Off Winners over the League One champions.

The match statistics showed that Wolves enjoyed a whopping 67% of possession and enjoyed more goal attempts than the home side with 12 against 9.

But despite that dominance, Wolves could not find the break through, with just 3 shots on target in 90 minutes, whilst Ryan Hall found the winner in the 76th minute after coming on as a half time sub.

“I thought we dominated the first half. We had some clear-cut chances that you have to convert when you`re away from home.

“Their goal had an element of luck about it which is a kick in the teeth but the lads know how well we`ve played so we won`t be too downhearted, we`ll move onto training and try and make it better.’ Batth told Wolves Official Website.

He continued: “This was their first Championship game at home so there was always bound to be a bit of atmosphere and we did control that to a certain extent, we were just unfortunate with the result.”

“We can beat teams like Rotherham, they were struggling with the movement of our two wide lads, Possession wise we were excellent as well, it`s just converting that into chances.
