Wolverhampton Wanderers picked up their third win of the 2018/19 Premier League season as we took a 2-0 victory over Southampton at the weekend.

After a goalless first half at the Molineux, Ivan Cavaleiro scored with his first top-flight touch in the 79th minute as he continues his return to fitness after injury, and Jonny Castro sealed the points up with three minutes remaining in normal time.

According to website WhoScored, although Castro took their star man recogition with a score of 8.04 from his performance, our control on the game was ably demonstrated by having ten players rated above seven – in comparison Southampton only had three players given above seven.

In his defensive duties, the 24-year-old contributed to the clean sheet with two tackles, two interceptions, a blocked shot and five clearances and at the other end of the pitch, he had two shots on target and obviously scored from one of them.

He might not be up to the assist levels of Barry Douglas, but the summer arrival is chipping in.
