Wolverhampton Wanderers have been tentatively linked with Maritimo’s Croatian midfielder Josip Vukovic this week, alongside Chelsea and Leicester City.

Chelsea’s transfer embargo being appealed is addressed in the claim from Talksport and the main bulk of the story is about the Stamford Bridge outfit, with Wolves only really figuring in a single mention.

Given our growth since Fosun took over though and with us battling at the right end of the Premier League table, it’s again another pointer to how the wider footballing world now view us, that these types of totally speculative rumours tend to give us a passing reference.

The defensive midfielder is linked with a few more clubs in the Talksport report, with the likes of Watford, Rangers and Benfica also name-checked, and they feel that an offer of around £4million would be enough to tempt his parent club into doing a deal, but I really can’t see anything coming from this one given the overall lack of details.
