Following the arrival of head coach Nuno Espirito Santo, Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have had plenty to cheer about and this season has been no different – nor has this week following the demolition of Arsenal on Wednesday evening.
Having stormed to the Championship title, we now sit in seventh place in the top flight table and despite a recent wobble and our FA Cup disappointment, with a 3-1 win we are clearly back on track and are set to end the campaign nicely.
Sky Sports presenter Jim White was speaking to SSN prior to the game kicking off (24/4 – 7.40) and he admitted that three players had definitely caught his eye whenever he’d had the chance to watch us this season.
“I’ve seen Wolves a couple of times, one or two in there caught my eye, Neves being the prime candidate there. He’s been outstanding. Moutinho, Conor Coady’s had a great season, they’ve all played out their skins.”
Whilst it’s understandable he’s gone for those names in that short list, all of the players can hold their heads high given their performances this year as they’ve all massively contributed to our further growth and success.
