Wolves are interested in a move for Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, a report from The Daily Mirror has claimed.

The two clubs have already done plenty of business recently, with Diogo Jota leaving Wolves for Liverpool for a reported £45million and Ki Jana Hoever going the other way for £9million over the weekend so far.

Oxlade-Chamberlain now looks set to be pushed down the pecking order by another arrival at Anfield in the shape of midfielder Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich, and it seems Wolves could look to take advantage of that.

According to the latest reports, Wolves are interested in a move for Oxlade-Chamberlain, as they look to strengthen their own squad in the current transfer window.

It is thought that Liverpool will want to recoup much of the £25million they reportedly paid Arsenal to sign the England international back in the summer of 2017, and with three years remaining on his contract at Anfield, they are in a strong position to negotiate any offers that Wolves make.

This could be a decent deal for Wolves, given Oxlade-Chamberlain’s experience competing at the highest level with both Arsenal and Liverpool.

Nuno’s side do still seem as though they could do with a few extra numbers, and that could also tempt the midfielder to make this move, given the increased opportunities for game time he would likely get at Molineux.

Having had those dealings with Liverpool recently, you also feel there is scope to negotiate between the clubs here, and the sale of Diogo to the Premier League champions means Wolves could have funds available to make this deal happen.
