Adama Traore has been linked with a move to Manchester City, Liverpool and Real Madrid and may have an uncertain future at Wolverhampton Wanderers as a result.

The Midlands outfit may need to sign a replacement for the 24-year-old to accompany Diogo Jota, Pedro Neto and Daniel Podence – all of whom are clients of Jorge Mendes. So if Wolves look to their advisor for a new recruit, which of his players could they sign?

Which club did Wolves sign Raul Jimenez from?

James Rodriguez has been heavily linked with a move to Wolves this season but whether they can get a deal over the line remains to be seen, with Real Madrid placing a €50m (£46.6m) asking price on the 28-year-old and the Molineux outfit only being willing to offer €15-20m (£13.9-18.5m).

As per Transfermarkt, James has contributed 79 goals in 124 games for the Spaniards and 35 in 67 games for Bayern, so he’d certainly improve the side. The Colombian international isn’t a natural wide-man like Traore and prefers a central role, but he has played a lot of games on the right flank.

Gonçalo Guedes was linked with Wolves before he joined Valencia in 2018. The 23-year-old has struggled with injuries since making his switch to the Mestalla Stadium, however.

He’s made only 10 Liga appearances this season due to spending three months out with an ankle problem, so Wolves may not feel he’s worth gambling on just yet.

Pizzi has been outstanding for Benfica and could be a fantastic addition to the Wolves ranks. The 30-year-old has had a hand in 39 goals in 40 games across the board this season.

As per WhoScored, Pizzi has racked up 1,987 minutes of Primeira Liga football, created 59 chances, made 38 successful dribbles (55%), whipped in 166 crosses with 30% accuracy and had 58 shots with 50% accuracy.

The Portuguese international’s market value in December 2019 was £24.3m, but he may cost a bit more given his form.
