Nothing to apologise for

The preparations for Tottenham on Saturday have been overshadowed this week following a backlash from the media.

Every pundit appears to have it in for us this week, but Chief executive Jez Moxey remains defiant.

‘We don`t have to apologise for anything. I don`t see a problem with how our players have conducted themselves.’ Moxey told the Express & Star.

Wolves have been handed a fine of £75,000 from the Football Association for receiving seven yellow cards for the second successive game.

He continued: “The only concern we have is the publicity generated after these last two games and the potential to possibly affect the perception of the officials, which we hope won`t be the case.’

Added to the collection cards, the so-called ill treatment of Joey Barton during the Newcastle game and the unfortunate leg break of Bobby Zamora against Fulham has sent the media into over drive.

Wolves have been branded a disgrace to the Premier League, something that anyone associated with Wolves will vigorously deny.

Jez added: ‘We don`t want anyone thinking Wolves play over-aggressively because that would be wrong.’
