Following the big injury blow that goalkeeper Carl Ikeme had been ruled out for around two months, Tomasz Kuszczak stepped in to make his Wolverhampton Wanderers debut.

Kuszczak made the move to Molineux in October as a free agent and got the nod to replace Ikeme ahead of Aaron McCarey.

The shotstopper, got the full backing of Molineux despite his connections to West Brom and just as well really as he could well end the season in the side as metatarsal’s can often be troublesome injuries to get over.

“It just shows that everyone understands the situation, As soon as I signed the contract for Wolves I said ‘I`m part of the family` and I am.

“You don`t sign a contract with any negative feelings or thoughts.’ The 32-year-old told Wolves Official Website.

The former Polish international might have had some negative thoughts just 20 seconds into the game however when Pavel Pogrebnyak’s smart finish put Wolves 1-0 down.

He continued: “The game was difficult because we conceded such an early goal, It looked like everyone was surprised by it.

Wolves got back into the game on 26 minutes through Benik Afobe, but Reading went on to take the points with Danny Williams scoring with 20 minutes remaining.
