It’s been a pretty quiet transfer window so far this summer for Wolverhampton Wanderers, but over the weekend things certainly kicked into gear with claims that we were now tracking Sami Khedira and Moise Kean.

The reports seems to stem originally from Sky Italia (via Football Italia but the main focus of their piece was on Juventus midfielder Khedira as it’s not believed he features in manager Maurizio Sarri’s plans moving forward.

The 32-year-old German international only played 13 times for the club in the 2018/19 campaign, and simply put, it’s said Wolves have now enquired about his services, joining Besiktas and several unnamed MLS clubs in the chase for him.

Our interest, if the report is to be believed, is firmer than some of the claims we’ve seen on the rumour mill so far, as it’s claimed that Director of Football Fabio Paratici met with representatives from Wolves during a trip to England this week.

19-year-old forward Kean seems to be a tag on here, with an overtone that any deal might include Ruben Neves going in the opposite direction, and that just feels like typical rumour mill nonsense to me.

Khedira appears to be the more believable rumour here, and whilst it would certainly be another high profile capture and get the juices going for fans, I can’t see it happening.
