Raul Jimenez admitted in a recent interview with Bolavip that “It’s an incredible thing to be on the radar” of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus, Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool this summer.

The 29-year-old is coming off the back of an outstanding season at Wolverhampton Wanderers and has been linked with a host of elite European clubs as a result.

Despite past reports suggesting Wolves could sell Jimenez and were cutting his asking price to facilitate a sale, Nuno Espirito Santo would prefer to keep his star striker at Molineux. Jimenez’s comments may worry supporters, however.

Which club did Wolves sign Raul Jimenez from?

He told Bolavip: “It’s something very cool. I don’t know if they are true, they are rumours. Since they are talking about me, different teams like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus, Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool…They are teams that in the history of football are important.

“It’s an incredible thing to be on the radar, and on the lips of those teams. It’s something good to continue growing, making an effort and taking it as an incentive so that, if possible, give even more to achieve it.”

Jimenez has made 44 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring 22 goals and making 10 assists. The Mexican international has scored against Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, so it’s not surprising that he’s being headhunted by top-six clubs.

Man Utd have Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Mason Greenwood and Odion Ighalo who can play up front, but Rashford has been playing on the left flank, Greenwood is only 18 and Ighalo is only on loan, so the Red Devils could do with another centre-forward.

Liverpool have Divock Origi, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah, but Origi and Firmino have only scored 11 Premier League goals between them this season, so they could benefit from signing somebody more prolific.
